Trusting your home and pets to someone outside of your family is a very serious matter, and we take your business to heart. We want you to know that we will treat your family like our family, and we appreciate the opportunity to become part of your pack.
Here are some commonly asked questions and answers, but please feel free to call or message us anytime.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. Through Business Insurers of the Carolinas, via Pet Sitters International.
How far do you travel?
As far as your budget allows! Our standard rates are for our clients approximately 20 minutes from downtown Wausau. For outlying areas such as Mosinee and Merrill, it’s an additional $5.00 per stop, or $10.00 per day. We have traveled as far as Antigo and Stevens Point. For these areas there is an additional charge, please message us for details.
What makes a Pet Care Specialist, and how many do you have on your team?
A Pet Care Specialist is a caretaker that’s part of the PawSau Team that has been trained to provide exceptional care for your pets and your home. We are a team of five women that work together for 24 hour care. Shannon Thomas and Brittany Goebel are the owners and fulltime Caregivers. Sarah Joss, Valerie Bastian and Angie Kurtz are Part Time Specialists. Each member of the team is bonded and insured. Caretakers can always be requested, and an initial meeting is always complimentary.
Is the cost per animal, or per household.
Per household! No additional fee for multiple pets, however each stop includes a 15 minute walk (if a walk is requested). If a Specialist is unable to walk multiple dogs in your household at one time, an additional walk fee may apply, which is $10 per 15 minutes.
Can our animals stay at your home overnight?
Your caged animals are welcome to stay with us, however we would prefer to stay at your home if others need overnight care. Each of our Pet Care Specialists have pets of our own and bringing your pets into our home may cause more stress than comfort.
Can you watch our animals on holidays?
Yes! And we don’t charge an additional rate.
Are you hiring?
We’re not adding to the team at this time, but a resume of interest citing previous animal experience can always be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org for future consideration.
Should a position become available, eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a clean background check, a reliable vehicle, be able to accommodate the physical demands of the position, have unlimited data on a smart phone and, most importantly, love all pets.
